WIGWAM: system concept development for 1 Gbit/s air interface

Abstract— The WIGWAM research project (Wireless Gigabit with Advanced Multimedia) is aimed at designing a 1 Gbit/s system concept for the home/office, public access and high velocity scenarios. The cross-layer project covers PHY & MAC, integration into existing infrastructure and RF, BB and Dirty RF hardware and algorithm development. The current stage of the system concept is presented in this paper.
